Excellent hole in the wall with authentic Mexican food and friendly service. There are only 4 tables and they do a lot of takeout orders. The street tacos had much more filling than usual and were delicious.
Always loved coming here when I lived in Denver. Fantastic food for an affordable price. Family run, super friendly and always a great experience. Highly recommend
We originally were on a walk when we stumbled upon this spot. It was a Sunday evening and took about an hour to get our food but keep in mind they were very busy (good sign) and only had 2 cooks. The place is also very small and only has about 3 small tables outside and 2 small ones outside. However, the service was polite and kept us updated on our order. While waiting, regulars would come in who the cook would greet and was very friendly. We got enchiladas and tacos pastor + burrito and the enchiladas were delicious! A little spice in the sauce but not much. Comes with rice and beans. The tacos were delicious as well! In addition, there is a bakery next to it that we had the opportunity to check out and smelled amazing. I recommend this place the panederia as well!
Been coming here since H.S! I love this location and small, family taco shop aesthetic. It has always been the same and the food has always been the same quality. The service is the best quick, polite and consistent. Best quick bite that is filling and delicious I always recommend this place!
Absolutely amazing food and the FLAVOR! WOW we are from Miami where Mexican food is everywhere and this place knocks it out of the park! And amazing service from the owners! Loved it all. If we lived here we would come at least twice a week.
This restaurant is still one of our favorite places to eat in the area. If you haven't tried this place out, then it's a must for you to try and it will most likely become one of your staples as well! Our current go-to's are the five tacos and the smothered breakfast burrito (they serve the breakfast burritos all day...yay!). The service is awesome and always friendly!
Wow, what an incredible meal in Denver! The outside of Taqueria La Familia is pretty unassuming but the cozy interior, friendly staff, and delicious food cannot be missed! My boyfriend was obsessed with the green chile salsa that comes complimentary with chips for the table. It was served warm and OMG was it delicious. I ordered the smothered burrito and it was very, very good. Don't skip the guacamole as it was extremely fresh and just yummy. The Mexican hamburger was so unique and had some wonderful flavors. Overall our meal came to $24 for two entrees which given Denver prices is a steal. Do yourself a favor and don't wait to try this spot!
This was the last meal I had in Denver before leaving and it was the PERFECT meal! Denver has a pretty big Hispanic population, so there are a ton of taquerias in the area, but this one came highly recommended and I can totally see why! The establishment is really understated and I could easily see people walking or driving past it without clocking it, but it's also located in such prime location! The interior is simple and plain, but what it lacks in character inside, it more than makes up for in the wonderful service and delicious food! All the employees were so kind and joking around with us while we waited for our food. We had placed a carryout order and they were finishing it up as we arrived and I just got the best vibes from all of them! They are so happy and welcoming and really love what they do! I think each of us ordered a set of 5 tacos and I got them all as Al Pastor (pork) and it was the right move!! The tacos are street style-size, so 3-4 bites if that, hence why 5 tacos is doable! But if you order some chips and guacamole with that and maybe another side, you could easily split the 5 tacos among 2 people. That being said, no matter what GET THE GUACAMOLE AND THE HORCHATA! Both are out of this world delicious! I've never had such creamy guacamole before - I don't even know how to describe how perfect the texture is! It might come off as a little bland, but paired with the salted tortilla chips or on top of your tacos, it adds so much dimension without overloading on saltiness and I loooove that! As for the horchata - it comes in a MASSIVE cup so you can easily split one of those among 2-3 people! We had 3 people and it was more than enough! It was perfect to pair with the whole meal and I'd frankly drink a whole massive cup of that on my own too! I'll be thinking about this meal for a looong time! I went almost 3 months ago now before finally getting around to writing this review and I'm clearly still thinking about it! I can't recommend it enough!!
Amazing tacos. Authentic & reasonably priced ($11.5 for 5 tacos). I tried the asada & barbacoa and both are amazing. Service was extremely fast and they are so friendly! There are two patio tables. We will be back!
